About the role:

What you’ll do:


As a SR Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions on Azure. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will transform business requirements into technical solutions, automate and optimize data workflows, ensure data quality, security, and reliability, and support data-driven decision-making through modern data engineering best practices and technologies.


In detail, you will:


  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
  • Develop and deploy serverless applications using Azure Functions.
  • Automate workflows and manage complex data processes using Apache Airflow.
  • Maintain and optimize the Unity Catalog for efficient data management and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, the BI team, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment between business and technical teams.
  • Understanding of Azure cloud architecture, networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues to maintain high data quality and reliability.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and Azure technologies.

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).


Who you are:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Solid experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Functions, Storage, Azure SQL Database and Key vault, and a good understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Certifications in Azure or related technologies are a plus.
  • Advanced/Fluent English is mandatory.

You will be based at the Curitiba administrative office. Located in Prado Velho, it is a new Electrolux location designed from the start to allow for more efficient, connected and flexible collaboration between Electrolux’s support teams.
